This article offers a bounded interpretive reconstruction of selected historical and social passages in Nahj al-Balagha. It asks how these passages frame historical regularity, human agency, social-political change, and the relation between worldly justice and eschatological accountability. The study uses qualitative document analysis of ten purposively selected textual units—sermons 15, 16, 50, 192, 203, 216; letters 31, 47, 53; and saying 209—with saying 340 used as a supplementary reference. The units were coded for historical learning, agency and responsibility, justice and injustice, mutual rights, crisis, political change, and worldly/eschatological ends. The analysis suggests that Nahj al-Balagha invites readers to identify morally and socially consequential patterns, but it does not establish a deterministic or empirically universal law that justice always guarantees a regime’s survival. The article’s contribution is a transparent thematic map connecting historical knowledge, human action, social-political mechanisms, and eschatological evaluation, while distinguishing textual claims from interpretive inferences.
